Impressed with Victoria Beckham's latest clothing collection, Beyonce personally contacted Posh, 36, with a view to working with her on designs to wear for her gigs in the States this winter.
We're told: "Beyonce is a big fan of Victoria's work, and was given a couple of samples from the new collection - including some sunglasses which she has been wearing at any given opportunity.
"Victoria was flattered and has agreed, in principle, to suggest some designs.
"While Beyonce already has the sunnies and a few dresses, it is Victoria's more elegant full-length designs that she particularly loves as they are a real departure from her usual glitzy stage costumes.
"This collaboration could be the start of something big."
But given she's married to the world's most famous footballer, Victoria Beckham clearly felt her reputation of queen WAG was sufficient justification.The 36-year-old revelled in a new level of extravagance this week after hiring a team of flunkies to carry her bags during a shopping trip in New York on Tuesday.
Perhaps husband David would have displayed his chivalrous side and at least offered to take his wife's handbag himself, had he not been struggling to walk.
His left foot was cased in a black cast, which he has been sporting ever since injuring his Achilles tendon in March.
Even so, he dutifully hobbled along behind as Victoria darted from shop to shop, gathering bags which were then handed to her assistants.
